Dan Nuey was appointed to the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Gaming Authority Board of Director’s in May 2015 by the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council. Dan graduated from the RI Municipal Police Training Academy in 1996 and comes to the Gaming Authority with 23 years of law enforcement experience in both the private sector at Brown University Public Safety Department, as well as in the public sector as a City of Cranston Police Officer serving at the rank of Sergeant. During his tenure with the Cranston Police Department, Dan served on the Union’s Executive Board as it’s Secretary from 2011 to 2014. Dan is a graduate of Roger Williams University class of 2000 with a degree in Criminal Justice, he then went on to earn his Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University in 2008. Dan brings to his position an array of experience & training in many areas such as personnel supervision and management, contract negotiations, emergency & crisis management & pre-employment background investigations, as well as others.
